Best Time to Visit: The best time to visit Chemrey is between May and September, when the weather is pleasant and all routes are open.
Accessibility: Chemrey is easily accessible by road via the Leh–Manali highway with a turn-off near Karu. No Inner Line Permit (ILP) is required for Indian or foreign tourists. Shared taxis and tour vehicles frequently cover this route, especially on the way to Pangong Tso. The village offers basic amenities, with small eateries and homestays available for visitors.
