Saspol Caves (Saspol Chorten Complex):
Carved into the hillside above the village, these ancient caves feature remarkable murals depicting Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, wrathful deities, and tantric figures. The colors and forms are exceptionally well preserved, offering a rare glimpse into pre-Gelugpa Buddhist art. Reaching the caves involves a short uphill hike.
Saspol Stupas:
Located near the caves and village center, these small whitewashed chortens create a picturesque scene against the dramatic mountain backdrop. They are not only spiritually significant but also excellent for photography.
Indus Riverside:
The gentle flow of the Indus River near Saspol provides serene picnic spots and beautiful reflections of the surrounding mountains—especially captivating during sunset.
Local Agriculture & Village Life:
Saspol is known for its organic farming, with orchards of apricots and apples, and fields of barley irrigated using traditional canal systems. A stroll through the village offers a glimpse into daily life in a remote Ladakhi community, surrounded by nature and tradition.
