1. 7:00 AM – Start from Leh

Start your journey early to cover the 67 km in one day. The route follows the Indus River, offering a blend of barren and lush landscapes.

2. 9:00 AM – Pass through Nimmu Village

You’ll pass by Nimmu and Sabu villages, both excellent spots for a quick rest and to enjoy the views.

3. 11:00 AM – Stop at Likir Monastery

If you wish, you can take a short detour to the Likir Monastery (4 km from the main route) for a brief exploration.

4. 12:30 PM – Arrive at Alchi Monastery

Upon arrival at Alchi, visit the monastery, which is famous for its ancient wall paintings and sculptures. The Alchi monastery complex is one of Ladakh’s most important Buddhist sites.

5. 2:00 PM – Return to Leh

After exploring Alchi, start your return journey to Leh.

6. 4:30 PM – Arrive Back in Leh

You will return by late afternoon, completing the round trip in around 8-9 hours.
